Dear Wife

Erastus is writing and I thought I would write a fiew lines to you and put in his letter. I wrote you on last Sadurday morning and wrote we were agoing to march at nine that morning but we dident go till yesterday. I am well with the excepthens of a cold. I took a cold a Monday knight when on guard. Have got a bad cough but I feel verry well otherwise. I dont know as it is necessry for me to tell you eney thik about our journey as Erastus writes about it. I recieved a letter from you amonday eve and was glad to hear from you and got one from Evina also. They are all well. She said she had got a letter from you. I wrote a letter to her that I had ritten three letters to you and had got none. That was before I got one from you and she sead that she would write to you and tell you and give the directions. I believe this is the fift letter that I have rote to you. I think I do perty well but I like to get letters from you and so I think about you. You wanted me to write somethink about the boys when they dident write the same time. Erastus has writen a letter. You said that Billys folks was disappointed not hearing from him. He and Erastus both wrote the same time I did. You wanted me to write about the grain. I think you had better sell it this fall if it brings a fair price. You may wright what it is worth and then I will tell you what to do. I cant write much more this time. I will write again soon. I was sorry to hear that your ma hurt her self. You must be careful and not fall there nor let Maty. My love to all.

So good buy Charlotte
